Level 2 Leadership through Physical Education
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs D. Fatani.
This course allows students to grow as leaders through a variety of practical experiences. Students will partake in several key practical learning opportunities that may include team-building activities, camp, running a Get Active Event, improving their own physical sporting performance, and leading practical sessions. This is all underpinned by 4 main themes throughout the year; Tikanga Kaitiaki, Whakaiti, and Tino Rangatiratanga.
Students can also choose this course alongside 02PED but cannot select 02HPS or 02OED.

Term 1
91334 - AS2.8 - Consistently demonstrate social responsibility through applying a social responsibility model in physical activity. This standard will run throughout the year.
91335 - AS2.9 - Examine the implementation and outcome(s) of a physical activity event or opportunity.
Term 2
91332 - AS2.6 - Evaluate leadership strategies that contribute to the effective functioning of a group.
Term 3
91330 - AS2.4 - Perform a physical activity in an applied setting.
91336 - AS2.10 - Analyse group processes in physical activity
Term 4
91334 - AS2.8 - Consistently demonstrate social responsibility through applying a social responsibility model in physical activity. This standard will run throughout the year.
