Course Description

This course will allow you to further develop the skills you have learned in 01TEF and apply that knowledge to create innovative new food products for the catering industry. In addition, you will be able to
* Create meal solutions for families * Create menu and catering requirements for events
* Create and develop products for sale and other specific food requirements.
These skills will be achieved by:-
* Researching trends * Trialing and testing food combinations * Developing and practicing food preparation
* Learning a range of other food skills.
Students will complete Achievement Standards and have the opportunity to gain up to 28 credits through a mixture of practical and theory. Work is completed through evidence-gathering methods and portfolios. This is an Achievement Standard course that continues to guide you towards University Entrance.
Recommended Prior Learning
Minimum 12 credits in Level 1 Technology Food or HoLA/HoS approval
