Level 3 Outdoor, Leadership and Physical Education

Course Description

Students selecting this course will firstly complete a careers unit where they will investigate what they require for their future pathways and how this course can help them meet the requirements regardless of their career interests. Students will then be part of a range of camps and/or trips, be involved in leadership opportunities in the school and local community, study sport in society, improve practical performance, design and apply training programs and use local community links. Students will need to fully involve themselves in both the practical and classroom component of the modules they choose. Students will have the opportunity to be involved in the Sports Council however this is not compulsory.

The aim in 2021 is to provide students with the opportunity to select one of the three following areas:  

- Physical Education & Performance focus

- Leadership focus

- Outdoor Education focus

Standards and assessments listed will be co-constructed between students and teachers within each particular focus area at the start of 2021. 



Recommended Prior Learning

On-track to achieve 60 Credits at level 2, including 14 credits from one of the following courses: 02PED, 02OED, 02HEA or 02LPE.
Exemption may be granted with HOLA approval.
