Level 3 Pacific Studies

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Miss T. Pasese

Follow up from Level 2 Pacific Studies - students will look at past, present and future issues of Pasefika communities in the islands and in New Zealand. It is a combination of cross curricular standards with a focus on Pasefika topics. We will be looking at aspects of Pacific indigenous knowledge, blackbirding in the Pacific islands and climate change in the Pacific islands. Students who take 03PAC will have a deeper understanding of who they are as Pasefika learners and how they can make a difference in their communities and in the wider world.
