Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr G. White.
Students learn to communicate in simple spoken Japanese about themselves, their family and their likes and dislikes. Students are introduced to the Japanese writing systems. The study of Japanese culture includes making Japanese food, origami, writing with ink and brush and interacting with our exchange students from Japan.

Pathway
Do you enjoy Anime, speaking another language and Japanese foods? Taking Japanese at Year 9 and leading into senior level Japanese, will give you the opportunity to gain greater knowledge in the Japanese language and culture. Translating and teaching are both exciting career opportunities when taking Japanese Language courses.
