Course Description

Year 10 Spanish is a follow on from the beginner's Year 9 Spanish. There will a focus on Spanish culture and food, Spanish living and Spanish lifestyle. For students who would like to develop their vocabulary further than Dora the Explorer the Year 10 Spanish class is a great stepping stone.
Recommended Prior Learning
It is highly recommended that you already have some knowledge of basic Spanish in both writing and speaking to ensure you get the best out of this course. This may have been achieved by speaking and communicating through Spanish shows, Spanish songs, speaking regularly using basic Spanish words and/or completing the Year 9 Spanish course.

Pathway
Students who choose the Year 10 Spanish course could have the opportunity to take the Spanish Language further into Year 13 correspondence and tertiary studies. Career pathways for languages can consist of translator/interpreter roles, there are also opportunities for foreign language intelligence roles and language teachers.
