Course Description

This course follows on from 01TCE and is a natural progression in terms of the degree of difficulty, the level of skill and the standard of the expected outcome produced. It continues to develop the students interest in Construction. Students will develop the skills they gained in Level 1 TCE by learning how to use a range of power and hand tools to build a range of projects which can be taken home or sold. It is the ideal choice for students who are considering studying this subject at a Tertiary Institution but do not want to commit to a complete course such as the Trades Academy. This also helps students that decide that they may want to take a full Trades Academy course at Level 3. This will allow them to attend Tertiary Providers and learn many skills related to Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure and Logistics.
Recommended Prior Learning
Minimum 10 Credits from 01TCE including the Safety unit US 24352.
Pathway
This course continues on from work learned in 01TCE. It is ideal for those who want to learn practical skills and move into Trades but it still allows the opportunity of university.
