03DTE or Digital Technologies. In this subject you will learn how to enhance the skills and techniques you learnt in 02DTE to create complex digital outcomes. The focus of this subject are the creative and information systems of Digital Technologies. 17+ credits of UE subjects offered.
The talent you have developed in the creative arts, such as graphic design, making music, video creation and other media outcomes will be improved and made into a complex yet, purposeful digital outcome, such as graphic design, web design, data visualisation and online video tutorials. It is aligned with the Ministry of Education and NZQA’s Hangarau Matihiko.
You will be provided with a culturally relevant topic, flexible and inclusive learning opportunities. This is a project-based and industry connected learning that includes:

Course Overview
Term 1
Student will learn how to prepare a research towards the completion of a YouTube video tutorial outcome.

Conduct a critical inquiry to propose a digital technologies outcome
Term 2
Student will learn how to use complex to advanced techniques such as Java Script to create a dynamic web design for mobile, desktop devices and interactive newsletters.
AS 91903 v 1 4 credits
Use complex techniques to develop a digital media outcome
Term 3
Students will learn how to create either a web design, apps or internet based newsletters.
AS 91907 v 1 6 credits
Use complex processes to develop a digital technologies outcome
Term 4
Students will demonstrate the advantages of their digital outcome.
