Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr R. Casey

Level 2 builds on and extends the concepts introduced in Level 1 Science (01SPC and 01SBP). Topics include a practical component with graphical analysis; Light and Waves; Classical Mechanics; Electricity and Electromagnetism and a research based paper that investigates a selected applications of Physics in Medicine. Level 2 Physics is an essential step towards studying Physics at Level 3 and tertiary level.

Recommended Prior Learning

Minimum of 12 credits from Achievement Standards in Level 1 Science including Mechanics 90940 (Merit is recommended) or by approval from HOLA Science. Students should also be taking a Level 2 Mathematics course.
