Level 1 Te Reo Maaori
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr T. Tangitu.
This course requires the aakonga to complete 3 Internal Achievement Standards and at least 1 External Achievement Standard. All standards are worth 6 Literacy credits, therefore the aakonga can gain their Literacy requirements for Level 1 in this subject. The Curriculum level requires aakonga to communicate in te Reo Maaori in familiar settings such as the marae, school and home in all language modes - listening; speaking; reading and comprehension; and writing. The standards include:

1.2 Koorero kia whakamahi ki te reo o toona ao - Internal Speaking Standard
1.3 Paanui kia moohio ki te reo o toona o - External Reading Comprehension Standard
