Level 2 English: Social Activism

Course Description

Teacher in Charge:

In this course, students will learn to analyse a range of written, oral, and visual texts that explore what it means to stand up and be counted as a citizen and social activist in a broad range of social issues. Students will have the opportunity to reflect on social issues in the world around them as they are represented in texts and in turn contribute their own commentary on these issues. This is a broad course that aligns most closely with a classic English literature course.

Although English is not compulsory at Level 2, it is highly recommended as it offers Level 2 U.E. credits and pathways into Level 3 English which is a university approved subject.
