Weights Training Waananga

Course Description

Waanaga that introduces students to weights training in a gym setting. Students will learn correct movement techniques with an emphasis on compound movement as well as accessory and isolation work. Students will learn about functional anatomy and physiology, how to build muscle, how to train different components of fitness and how to create their own workout programmes. The purpose is to enable the students to build confidence and knowledge in the gym to provide a foundation for lifelong physical activity. This course will be running in Term 1,Term 2, Term 3 and Term 4.
