AkoConnect

AkoConnect priorities’ Taha Whaanau (relationships and connections) as a way to help you engage in school and to enhance your Hauroa. The best thing is that you get to pick which relationships you value the most to meet your Hauora needs. This will maximise your learning by creating a space to be happy, confident and proud at the start of the day.

There are 3 types of groups:

  • Cultural Identity Groups: Groups who have already established relationships - Poly Realms, Maaori Whanau, HPS, Concert Band, Rewa AllStars, Sports Teams, Student Councils, Health Science Academy
  •
  • Hauora Activities: Activities where you can engage or where relationships are not as established and/or formalised – Praise and Worship, Zumba, Weights Room
  •
  • Targeted Ako Groups: For those of you who may need specific help with credits to get ‘Get Qualified’ - Numeracy & Literacy workshops, Pathways Tertiary Workshops, meeting with a Kaitiaki to help map your credits, catch up on Waananga credits or Language and Literacy credits for Level 1.
