Level 1 Dance
01DAN Course DescriptionTeacher in Charge: Mr T. Toniu.
Recommended Prior LearningThis is an open entry course however students will need to have some Dance experience in order to achieve in this course.
In this course students will explore a variety of different styles and genres such as Contemporary, Hip Hop and Cultural Dance. They will also create their own choreographies in small groups. This programme of learning includes both practical and written assessments. They will have two performance opportunities to showcase their work, the mid year and end of year show.
Pathway Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Students will have the opportunity to view at least one to two live performances throughout the year. Costs will given closer to the time but usually range between $20 - $30 per performance (including transportation).
