01SBC is a Science course for students wanting to take only Biology and Chemistry.
Students will choose ONE of the three options offered, based on their Science interests and career pathway.
This course will be taught in three trimesters. In the 1st trimester, two topics will be assessed internally.
Students will then choose one Biology and one Chemistry topic for Trimester 2 and 3. Some topics will be assessed internally, others will be assessed externally.

Trimester 1:
Internal Assessments: 90950 and 90946
Semester B
Trimester 2:
For Chemistry - either External Assessment 90944 OR Internal Assessment 90930
For Biology - either External Assessment 90948 OR Internal Assessment 90925
Semester C
Trimester 3:
For Chemistry - either External Assessment 90944 OR Internal Assessment 90930
For Biology - either External Assessment 90948 OR Internal Assessment 90925
Pathway
Level 2 Biology, Level 2 Chemistry
Students taking 01SBC will be able to take Level 2 Biology or Level 2 Chemistry the following year - as long as they have passed a significant proportion of the 01SBC course. Students wanting to take Level 2 Physics should choose 01SPC or 01SBP.
