Course Description

This course is especially designed to offer you an excellent base from which to choose a career in any practical Engineering or Building career when you leave school. 

It is different from other courses because if you select this course, all your other options are picked for you. 

You will take Mathematics, Social Sciences and a Sports Leadership course. 

There are two Trade Academy programmes at Level 2:-

1) consists of 3 days in school,1 day at a Tertiary Institution, a Project Day in school, Maths, Social Science and PE.
2) consists of two days in school, 2 days at a Tertiary Institution, a Project Day in school, Maths, Social Sciences and PE.

The credits for the one day programme are listed below.

The HoLA Technology/Trades Academy will discuss the most suitable programme for your specific needs.

Whilst at the Tertiary Institution you may study you may study all or some of the following:- Engineering, Construction, Logistics (forklift driving, etc), Traffic Control, Hospitality and Fire Fighting. 

If you work consistently, you will achieve NCEA Level 2.
