Minimum 12 credits in Level 1 Technology Food or HoLA/HoS approval
This course will allow you to further develop the skills you have learned at Level 1 and apply that knowledge to create innovative new food products for the catering industry, meal solutions for families, menu and catering requirements for events, and creation and development of products for sale and other specific food requirements. This will be achieved through researching trends, trialing and testing food combinations, developing and practicing food preparation, and learning a range of other food skills. Students will complete Achievement Standards and have the opportunity to gain 24 credits through a mixture of practical and theory. Work is completed through evidence-gathering methods and portfolios. This is an Achievement Standard course that continues to guide you towards University Entrance.
