Course Description

Teacher in Charge:

In this course students will develop a major yearlong project. Students develop an understanding of a range of emerging technologies, such as 3D scanning, 3D printing, Motion Capture Technologies and Game design.  This will integrate aspects and credits from the Art curriculum and the Digital Technologies curriculum.

This course is project based, where students are encouraged to direct the path of their own learning, within a collaborative and critically supportive environment. Students will develop a deep understanding of a range of software applications including 2D and 3D software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Blender and Unity.

They will select the digital media outcome that will form the basis of their final project: Outcomes could include but are not limited to 3D models, 3D animations, 3D standalone games. Students will then develop a concept for their final outcome using the design process, then work toward the realisation and presentation of their final designs. This course has 4 approved literacy (writing) credits.
