Course Description

This course is open entry to Year 13 students who would like to take a Social Science subject but do not meet the pre - requisites for 03GEO, 03HIS, 03CLS, 03SSL, or 03PAC. Students in this course will do NCEA Level 3 internal unit standards in a variety of Social Studies topics that affect NZ and the world. Possible topics include comparing governments around the world, studying an aspect of Pacific culture, looking at race relations between Maaori and Pakeha in NZ, and conducting an individual research project. Please be aware that this course is not U.E approved and does not offer U.E literacy.
