Makerspace

This waananga is a fun way to gain confidence using new-to-you technology. It is an opportunity for you to experience the makerspace a vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship. For you  our makers  creators  builders  fabricators  and designers  there are 3D printers  a laser cutter  a sewing machine  art and craft supplies  and other tools and machinery. Activities at the Makerspace? Here are a couple of examples you can do but are not limited to; come explore your area of interest.- Vinyl Cutting and Press: You create your own custom design which you will then use the vinyl cutter and heat press onto your hats/shirt/hoodie/bags or even socks!- Design for the Laser Cutter: In this activity  you be able to choose from creating a wooden or acrylic design to take home.  You might also decide to take your product to market!Fill your kete with many of the learner profile attributes such as:- Cultural Role Model, Curiosity, Collaboration, Hauora, Critical Thinking , Enterprise, Creativity,  Resilience, Problem Solving, Digital Fluency, Connecting with this waanaga will open up a huge range of opportunities proved by the Manurewa High Business Academy and could lead you on your future pathway. We have the opportunity to connect you with industry experts and opportunities for you to experience the world of work through programmes and industry visits.We would love to see you in the space and look forward to you unleashing your creativity. This course will be running in Term 1, Term 2, Term 3 and Term 4.
