AkoConnect- Puhoro

Puhoro is an external agency run by Maori for Maori that support the academic suc­cess of students in STEM subjects. KaihautO come in once a week to mentor students who whakapapa Maori and are taking a senior science subject. Goal setting, tutor­ing, support with assessments and several waananga workshops at AUT are offered throughout the year to help students with NCEA. POhoro AkoConnect is only offered to Year 11s at this time. Only 15 students from Year 11 can participate in this programme.
